Florida 

Sigrid McCawley serves as managing partner of Boies Schiller Flexner’s Florida office. McCawley’s name has regularly appeared in recent years due to her high-profile and high-stakes commercial litigation work. She has been a trusted leader in the legal battles aimed at disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators on behalf of his victims of sexual abuse and trafficking. She recently represented Virginia Giuffre in her lawsuit alleging sexual abuse against Prince Andrew, which was settled out of court in January 2022.

 

Louisiana 

A leader in the commercial sphere, Lori Mince of Fishman Haygood is widely recognized for her work on media law and tax litigation expertise n. She is currently leading settlement discussions on behalf of  Louisiana Children’s Medical Center in a matter brought upon by six neighbors of the LCMC Health subsidiary in a putative class action. The claim alleges, inter alia, that the hospital's newly relocated helistop constitutes a nuisance under Louisiana law. Following Mince’s success in defeating the plaintiff’s efforts to secure state court jurisdiction and striking the class allegations, the plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the class and agreed to pursue a settlement. In the tax space, Mince represents the Department of Revenue in seven cases filed by RJ Reynolds and affiliates in a challenge to the assessments issued against the plaintiffs.  

 

Texas 

Veronica Moyé of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s Dallas office serves as co-chair the global litigation practice while maintaining her status as an active, premier, multi-disciplined litigator, as well as among the nation’s most potent trial forces. Equipped with an ever-dynamic arsenal of experience in all areas of litigation, Moyé undertakes matters of complexity and scale across a broad diversity of specialties, including representation on antitrust & competition, class action, and intellectual property matters. Moyé has duly garnered recognition for her lead role in securing a landmark victory on behalf of Apple in the high-exposure antitrust dispute brought by Epic Games alleging, among other claims, that Apple engaged in monopolist business practices and unfair competition in violation of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act. In addition, obtained more praise for defending Merck in class and direct purchaser disputes alleging that the settlement in a patent infringement matter included unlawful agreements not to compete and a conspiracy to delay generic entry.  Distinguished for her prowess in appellate litigation Allyson Ho has debuted on the Top 250 Women in Litigation this year. Although based in Dallas, Ho’s nationwide practice services clients in courts of appeals throughout the US. She also serves as the co-chair of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher’s appellate and constitutional law practice group. Her expertise in appellate litigation led to a significant victory for Visa that reversed an adverse decision from the district court. The appellate court instead found that Visa’s program challenged by the plaintiffs was lawful and enforceable, and additionally revived the client’s fraud counterclaim against Sally Beauty. Ho continues to defend the case before the Texas Supreme Court.  

Co-founding partner of top plaintiffs’ firm Reid Collins & Tsai, Lisa Tsai is a widely regarded and respected trial lawyer with an eclectic record of high-stakes cases. Her leadership as co-founder has developed a top-tier team that has risen to serve clients nationally. Outside of the firm, she is a leader and mentor to women and lawyers of Asian-Pacific American ethnicity. In her practice, she was co-lead partner representing Claymore Holdings in its lawsuit long-running lawsuit against Credit Suisse. The case, arising from a fraudulent appraisal that overvalued a Las Vegas development project, alleges that the bank conspired with a CBRE appraiser, inducing Tsai’s client to invest over $250 million. The Dallas Court of Appeals affirmed a critical fraud judgment ruling that awarded over $121 million to the client.  

 

Virginia 

Richmond-based commercial litigator Cassandra Collins of Hunton Andrews Kurth specializes in energy and construction litigation and serves as co-lead of the firm’s practice group.
