Ray Persons focuses on complex litigation, including class actions, mass torts and product liability. As a senior litigation partner in the Product Liability and Mass Tort and Toxic Tort practices, Ray represents clients in numerous high-profile product liability and tort matters.
Ray has represented clients as lead counsel in more than 75 jury trials, before juries in Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia and Washington, D.C., as well as other venues. Client industries include energy, chemicals, media and many others.
Ray has received recognition from a variety of publications. Among many honors, he was the recipient of the Daily Report 2016 Professional Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award. He was recognized as a Top 10 Trial Lawyer in Georgia by Super Lawyers in 2017, following on his designation in 2015 as a Georgia Super Lawyer and one of the Top 100 Lawyers in the state.
In addition, Ray was ranked in 2015 and 2016 by Legal 500 U.S. for Product Liability, Mass Tort, and Class Action—Consumer Products, including Tobacco. He was also named a 2015 Local Litigation Star/Top Trial Lawyer by Benchmark Litigation, and recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for Bet-the-Company Litigation, Mass Tort/Class Actions—Defendants, Commercial Litigation, and Product Liability Litigation—Defendants.
