The seventh annual Benchmark Canada awards was streamed live Thursday, May 28, 2020 in the LMG's first-ever digital award ceremony, you can view the full awards presentation HERE. While are indeed saddened that the pandemic has caused us to have to withdraw from our usual live gala, we felt it was our duty and obligation to press on with honoring those who have earned their nominations through whatever means possible. We hope you found our presentation an acceptable alternative and that you enjoyed the proceedings.
Western Canada's regional powerhouse Lawson Lundell proved to be this year's biggest winners, scoring a whopping four awards (including a leading role in one of our featured impact cases.) Québec's litigation boutique Woods also scored big with three awards, including an impact case and a "Hall of Fame" award for firm founder and namesake James Woods.
Other Hall of Fame winners include Geoff Cowper of Fasken in Vancouver, Kent Thomson of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg in Toronto, and Dave Hill, founder and name partner of Winnipeg boutique Hill Sokalski Walsh. Hill is the first and only such winner from Manitoba.
Thank you all for taking the time to tune in, congratulations to all who have been shortlisted and of course particular congratulations to our winners.
