Other major victories have included recovering more than $75 million for Qualcomm in connection with a scheme by a former senior engineer to sell technology he had secretly developed while working for the company, successfully defending SpaceX on theft of trade secrets claims by Broadcom, obtaining a complete dismissal of a putative class action lawsuit against PricewaterhouseCoopers in connection with audit work for one of the largest U.S. construction companies, and defeating an action to enjoin Kaiser Permanente from enforcing a company-wide COVID-19 vaccine policy.
Mr. Camp also has an extraordinary track record of success in high-profile white collar criminal prosecutions, including obtaining dismissal of all felony charges against a subsidiary of Waste Management, America’s largest environmental services provider, in a widely publicized, four-year-long federal criminal investigation and prosecution; a complete dismissal, after five years of pre- and post-indictment litigation, of dozens of felony charges against a prominent attorney and former principal of the Jacoby & Meyers law firm; a complete dismissal of felony fraud charges against an heir of oil magnate H.L. Hunt; and a complete dismissal of felony wiretapping charges against a former FBI agent. In addition, as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Mr. Camp was lead or co-lead trial counsel in numerous criminal cases, including winning a complete victory in a monthslong, multi-defendant trial in one of the largest criminal tax prosecutions in U.S. history.
