Audrey represents clients in complex civil and commercial disputes and has extensive experience in appellate advocacy. She has a broad public law practice, including constitutional and human rights law and a range of administrative and regulatory matters. She also regularly advises on matters relating to private international law, including jurisdiction, state immunity, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards and the taking of evidence abroad. In 2018, the Supreme Court of Canada appointed Audrey as amicus curiae in three administrative law appeals that will re-examine the standard of review in Canadian administrative law.
Audrey joined IMK in 2010. A former law clerk to Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin, P.C., she previously practiced in the financial products and markets group at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York and taught at Columbia Law School. Audrey is the current President of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division and has taught Civil Procedure at the Faculties of Law of the University of Montreal and McGill.
Recognized by her peers and legal rankings alike, she has received numerous awards and distinctions notably from LEXPERT in 2017 when she was nominated for a “Zenith Award Celebrating Women in Law” and as a “Rising Star: Leading Canadian Lawyers Under 40”. She has also been ranked on Benchmark’s “40 & Under Hot List” since 2017 and is listed as one of the world’s leading litigation lawyers under 45 in Who’s Who Legal: Litigation 2018.
