Tatjana graduated in 1998 and earned her LLB at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Law in Skopje, Macedonia. She passed the Judicial Exam in 2001. Tatjana earned her license for IP agent in 2000. She is a member of the Macedonian Bar Association and the International Bar Association. She is also member of the Macedonian Women Jurist Association TEMIS Skopje, former Chairwoman of the Legislative Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia, Member of the Executive Board of European Lawyer Association (ELS) and Honorable member of the European Association of Students of Law (ELSA). Tatjana is also lecturer at the State University Faculty of Law for contractual and corporate law.
Tatjana is a founding partner at Polenak Law Firm. She is a legal expert with 18 years of experience in the legal sector in Macedonia. Her vast experience includes various projects focused on insurance, securities, energy, telecommunications, concessions and PPP. Tatjana has participated in many projects including major privatisations in the country, equity investments and project finance. She is also known for her work on M&A, commercial law, employment-related issues, industrial property and consumer protection. She has vast experience in white-collar crime proceedings as a defense lawyer of former members of the Government and other high-ranking state officials. Her experience also covers high profile commercial and civil litigation, commercial arbitration and antitrust and competition law proceedings.

Chambers Global 2018 lists Tatjana as top-ranked for her work in corporate and commercial matters, recognising her work on contentious matters related to corporate law, her open co-operation and relevant experience that

The new Chambers Europe lists Tatjana as top-ranked for her work in dispute resolution noting her "very good reputation" in the market and her expertise in damages claims frequently advising clients from the insurance, telecoms and brewing industries.
