Chet Kronenberg, senior Los Angeles litigator, represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation, including defending clients in consumer, employment, insurance and securities lawsuits, and government investigations. Chet has served as lead counsel for clients such as Aptive Environmental, Banc of California, Beazley Group, Blackstone, Citibank, KKR, L3 Technologies, LG Display, Lion Capital, Nature Home Flooring, Pinnacle Foods, SiriusXM Radio, Siris Capital, Vivint, Inc., Vivint Solar, Vivo Capital, Whittaker, Clark & Daniels and Yingli, among others. He has been recognized by The Legal 500 in multiple categories, including Securities Litigation, Insurance and Appellate. Chet has also been named by Benchmark as a California “Litigation Star” and a “Labor & Employment Star.” In 2023, he was named a “Leader of Influence” by the Los Angeles Business Journal. 


Representative experience includes: 

  • Lloyd’s of London syndicates in coverage litigation relating to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine; 
  • Banc of California in lawsuit brought by former CEO against the Banc for defamation and other claims, including prevailing on anti-SLAPP motion; 
  • Whittaker, Clark & Daniels in reversal of $3 million punitive damages award in asbestos-related personal injury case; 
  • KKR in employment-related litigation, including prevailing on motion to dismiss; 
  • AmGUARD Insurance Company in California state and federal court lawsuits brought by restaurants and hotels seeking business interruption insurance stemming from social distancing orders in response to the COVID-19 virus, including multiple victories on motions to dismiss; 
  • Vivint, Inc. in multiple wage and hour class action and PAGA lawsuits; 
  • Aptive Environmental in disability discrimination arbitration, including prevailing on summary judgment; and 
  • Vivint, Inc. in racial discrimination arbitration, including prevailing on summary judgment. 


Chet was elected to membership in the Firm in 2001. He received his B.A. from Tufts University in 1990 and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1993. Chet currently serves on the board of directors of the Southern California Tennis Association and Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center.
