Glenn Kurtz is the Global Chair of Commercial Litigation at White & Case. Recognized as a leading practitioner in the field, he offers clients the benefit of over 25 years’ experience as a trial and appellate lawyer. Glenn has developed a strong track record of trying and winning complex cases, primarily class action and multi-district litigations, in federal and state courts and in arbitrations throughout the United States.
Glenn’s litigation practice is focused on domestic and international clients in a range of contentious commercial disputes. These disputes typically arise from debt and equity investments, financing agreements, acquisition agreements, shareholder agreements, technology licenses and franchises, distributorship contracts and other significant arrangements.
Glenn has amassed substantial trial experience involving cases centered on financial instruments, valuations, pricing and other economic issues. He also has substantial experience handling fiduciary litigation, generally related to mergers and acquisitions, as well as major class action and securities fraud cases. Among a number of notable projects in this area, Glenn has effectively defended several clients faced with multi-billion dollar Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) charges.
Glenn has also been called upon to represent major debtors, creditors’ committees, creditors, litigation trusts and equity holders in high profile bankruptcies. These include a number of high profile cases connected to parallel proceedings in the United States and overseas.
