Agus is a highly regarded Indonesian practitioner with over a decade of experience, recognized for his expertise as a court-appointed administrator (pengurus PKPU), receiver (kurator), and liquidator in complex insolvency and restructuring matters. He regularly leads high-stakes court-supervised restructuring (PKPU) proceedings, representing debtors in achieving creditor-approved and court-sanctioned settlement agreements, while also handling corporate liquidation and business closure processes.

Beyond insolvency, Agus is well-versed in handling white-collar and criminal matters, including corruption, bribery, and other financial crimes. Agus is also an experienced litigator combined with a strategic and commercially driven approach that enables him to resolve disputes effectively, both in and out of court.

His practice spans a wide range of industries, including banking and finance, oil and gas, mining, construction, digital media and advertising, and technology, reflecting his versatility in handling multifaceted legal issues across sectors.

In 2019, Agus founded ADP Counsellors at Law, where he continues to shape the firm’s direction while mentoring the next generation of lawyers. He is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) and the Indonesian Receivers and Administrators Association (AKPI).

Recent matter highlights
  • Acting as Administrator and Receiver in the Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) and subsequent bankruptcy proceedings of a limited liability company engaged in heavy equipment leasing. The matter involved total outstanding claims of approximately IDR 86,689,095,853. Following the PKPU phase, the Commercial Court rendered a bankruptcy decision, placing the company into formal liquidation.
  • Acting as legal counsel for the defendant in a criminal case concerning the issuance of Medium Term Notes (MTN), which were arranged and marketed to institutional investors and ultimately resulted in a default. The case involved allegations of state financial losses amounting to approximately IDR 310,118,271,000. We successfully established that the actual state loss amounted to IDR 230,000,000,000, as determined by the Panel of Judges of the Corruption Court. The defendant was subsequently sentenced to 5 (five) years of imprisonment and a fine of IDR 300,000,000, representing the most lenient sentence among all co-defendants, who received significantly higher prison terms.
  • Acting as legal counsel for a commissioner of a palm oil plantation company in a corruption case involving applications for investment loans and working capital loans in connection with the acquisition of shares and operational financing of a palm oil company in the Jambi region. The case involves an alleged amount of approximately Rp 105 billion. Currently, the case is in the prosecution phase, with the defendant facing the lowest charges among the five other defendants.
  • Acting as Liquidator in the dissolution and liquidation process of a limited liability company. The matter involved verified creditor claims totaling approximately IDR 18.35 billion, while identified assets amounted to only around IDR 14.9 million, with no additional assets discovered. The liquidation process was conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, including creditor notification, claim verification, and pro rata distribution based on statutory priority.
