At the young age of 39, Brandon Trice is very much a leading partner at Kaplan Martin LLP. His multifaceted commercial litigation practice reflects his creative and innovative approach to advising and advocating for his clients. His work spans a broad array of subject matters—from contract, structured finance, and securities law to intellectual property, cryptocurrency, employment, and product liability law. Among other matters, Brandon has prosecuted claims on behalf of financial guaranty insurers of residential mortgage-backed securities trusts, defended large companies against unfair competition claims, represented boards facing shareholder derivative actions, and defended fintech companies with respect to cryptocurrency practices.
Brandon’s cases go beyond traditional commercial litigation matters. In the last two years, he has served as a key partner defending New York City’s historic congestion pricing program on behalf of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), successfully defending against at least 14 separate lawsuits seeking to block the program and scoring two major legal victories against the Trump Administration’s efforts to withhold billions in earmarked infrastructure funding; defeated multiple efforts by President Trump at the Second Circuit and Supreme Court to appeal two unanimous jury verdicts against him for the sexual assault and defamation of E. Jean Carroll; and represented Imran Ahmed, CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, in his lawsuit against Marco Rubio and the Department of Homeland Security for threatening to commence unlawful immigration actions.
Brandon was named a 2025 Rising Star by the New York Law Journal and has been recognized by Benchmark in their 40 & Under category in 2025 and 2026. He has also been recognized as among the Top 500 Leading Global Litigators and Top 500 Leading Lawyers and Leading Litigators in America by Lawdragon.
