Douglas is a Partner and an experienced litigator with over 35 years’ experience. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Western Canada Commercial Arbitration Society.
Douglas has a wealth of experience in significant domestic and international litigation matters in the energy field, including advising clients on a multitude of contractual disputes, including joint venture, accounting, royalty and operator disputes, fiduciary duties and rights of first refusal matters. He has been recognized by numerous peer review publications for his work in the energy sector, both in the litigation and arbitration fields.
Douglas continues to advise clients in numerous energy related matters and, in addition to his counsel work, also acts as an arbitrator and mediator of commercial disputes.
