Biography
Erin is a civil litigator and principal (partner) at MT+Co. She has represented clients before all levels of court in British Columbia, as well as the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the National Energy Board (now, the Canada Energy Regulator).
Erin’s practice encompasses both Indigenous law and corporate/commercial litigation. She assists Indigenous Nations and organizations with navigating internal and external disputes, including those involving the assertion of Indigenous laws; the assertion of Aboriginal rights and title; the intersection of Indigenous law and Canadian common law; the use of reserve lands, traditional territory, and natural resources by the Nation, its members, and/or third parties; membership; governance; and commercial arrangements with third parties.
Erin’s corporate commercial practice includes assisting clients with a broad range of business disputes, including those involving allegations of conspiracy, shareholder oppression, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, professional negligence, and defamation.

Recent matter/case highlights
- Erin is co-counsel for the respondent in Canada (Attorney General) v. Paul Drover, a Charter case that will be heard by the Supreme Court of Canada in 2027.
- Erin was a member of the legal team representing the plaintiff class members in Moushoom v. Canada, a class action proceeding commenced in the Federal Court against the Federal government for the discriminatory treatment of First Nations youth, which resulted in the largest class action settlement in Canadian history.
- Erin was co‑counsel on multiple judicial reviews of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project by Stó:lō Nation communities in the Federal Court of Appeal.
- Erin was counsel to the Tahltan Central Government in its interventions before the BC Supreme Court in Skeena Resources Ltd. v. Mill, 2022 BCSC 2032 and Court of Appeal in Skeena Resources Ltd. v. Mill, 2024 BCCA 249, a case concerning the ownership of mining waste stored in Tahltan Territory.
- Erin was co‑counsel to the Nuu‑chah‑nulth Tribal Council in its interventions before the BC Court of Appeal in two appeals: (i) Ahousaht Indian Band and Nation v. Canada (Attorney General), 2021 BCCA 155, a landmark commercial fishing rights case; and (ii) Servatius v. Alberni School District No. 70, 2022 BCCA 421, a Charter challenge regarding Indigenous cultural representations in public schools.
