James Carroll

Serves as the global co-head of Skadden’s Litigation/Controversy practices. Experience handling mutual fund, annuity, insurance, ERISA and securities class action defense and complex civil litigations including jury trials. Regularly represents individuals and corporations in SEC enforcement matters, along with investigations by the Massachusetts Attorney General's office and Massachusetts Securities Division. Has tried securities fraud, theft of trade secrets, Lanham Act, covenant-not-to compete and ERISA cases to verdict. Current engagements include defenses of securities fraud class actions, antitrust class actions and commercial litigations.
