John Nathanson is Global Co-Head of Investigations & White-Collar at A&O Shearman. His practice focuses on United States Department of Justice (DOJ) investigations, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) enforcement matters, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) investigations, internal investigations, regulatory proceedings and complex financial litigation.

John maintains an active trial practice in both criminal and civil matters involving allegations of financial misconduct. He regularly advises corporations, financial institutions and senior executives on high-stakes investigations, compliance matters and enforcement actions.

Prior to joining the firm in 2009, John served for five years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York.
