Julie Bédard is head of Skadden’s International Litigation and Arbitration Group for the Americas. She focuses on complex and high stakes international litigation and arbitration, including M&A, shareholder, joint venture, technology, energy, mining, construction, health sciences and reinsurance disputes as well as investor-state proceedings. Advises clients on dispute resolution strategy and served as counsel and arbitrator in international proceedings. Ms. Bédard speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. She serves as counsel and arbitrator in international proceedings under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce, the American Arbitration Association, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, in addition to UNCITRAL arbitrations. Ms. Bédard is a member of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement dispute settlement panel and also sits on the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
