Katherine ("Kat") Hacker has been recognized multiple times as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in America based on her significant experience in high-stakes cases in state and federal courts. She has spent close to 150 days in trial, including matters followed closely by international media. Her trial experience includes delivering opening statements in cases involving billions of dollars, conducting high-profile witness cross-examinations, and arguing motions and appeals across the United States.Kat regularly represents Fortune 500 companies including Amazon, Bayer, Chevron, DuPont, GSK, Walgreens and Walmart. Most recently, Kat served as first-chair trial counsel in a Roundup litigation matter involving allegations that Monsanto’s herbicide caused non-Hodgkin lymphoma, securing a complete defense verdict that was ranked among the top ten defense verdicts of 2023.Kat also has significant intellectual property litigation experience. She second-chaired a patent trial for Amazon concerning alleged liability for patent infringement by third-party sellers on Amazon.com, obtaining a complete defense verdict that was upheld on appeal. She also served as co-lead counsel for Wowza Media Systems in a patent infringement dispute involving video compression technology, successfully opposing multidistrict litigation consolidation and helping achieve a favorable settlement within five months of filing.
