Individuals often turn to Ms. Dubatowka at critical moments to confront career-threatening crises. She has successfully represented employers and employees in a full range of employment matters, including contract negotiations, discrimination claims, class action wage and hour claims, compensation disputes, terminations, whistleblower complaints, and disputes regarding restrictive covenants. She also has extensive experience conducting investigations and drafting independent reports concerning sexual harassment allegations and whistleblower complaints brought against companies. She likewise strategically counsels individual employees navigating workplace investigations that threaten their reputation and livelihood. Ms. Dubatowka enjoys mentoring junior lawyers and oversees the firm’s legal internship program. She is dedicated to providing pro bono representation and regularly participates in the Southern District of New York’s pro bono litigation program.

Recent matter/case highlights
  • Winning, with Kim Michael, a JAMS arbitration securing an award of over $2.7 million for breach of contract, quantum meruit, and violation of the New York Labor Law arising out of an employer’s improper withholding of former investment banker’s earned bonus.

  • Member of team winning over $2.2 million in a FINRA arbitration for a former leveraged finance executive at a global investment bank whose deferred compensation was wrongfully withheld.

  • Alongside partner Yonaton Aronoff and associate Juannell Riley, Megan handled a high-profile dispute involving the Sports Illustrated brand. The team combined robust counterclaims with novel defenses that helped Arena achieve a favorable settlement.

  • Member of team achieving favorable settlement on behalf of an entrepreneur against the real estate brokerage company Compass in a multi-year litigation resulting in Compass recognizing the client as a founding team member and publicly reporting a $21 million legal charge.

  • Representing, with Jonathan Harris, a cannabis testing lab, its officers, directors, and shareholders in a multi-jurisdiction litigation against its former CEO. Following a successful JAMS arbitration, the former CEO voluntarily dismissed a 13-count derivative complaint filed against the company and over 50 stakeholder defendants. After the CEO sought indemnification in the Delaware Court of Chancery, Ms. Dubatowka negotiated a favorable settlement for a fraction of the alleged damages.
