Michael Jones has a broad commercial litigation practice, covering a range of complex litigation, investigations and regulatory actions. He has appeared in state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as in international arbitral forums, including the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, the London Court of International Arbitration and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. He also advises and represents clients in investigations and enforcement actions by government and industry regulators. Many of his matters are international in nature and involve the application of foreign laws concerning highly regulated sectors such as financial services, energy, commodities, real estate and government contracting.
Michael is a “lawyer’s litigator” with nearly 15 years of litigation and dispute resolution experience and a reputation as a legal strategist. He is frequently called upon by lawyers in other practice groups to advise clients on business-critical and time-sensitive issues. His experience includes complex business, commercial and employment disputes, securities and shareholder claims, real estate matters, business breakups and dissolutions, and government and regulatory actions.
He is known for identifying critical issues and weaknesses, developing strategic approaches and leveraging key points in cases to achieve successful outcomes, whether through early dismissal, favorable settlements, trial or appeal.
