Neal Manne is one of the premier trial lawyers in America. A fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers who has tried dozens of complex cases, Manne has an extraordinarily broad and diverse litigation practice. From antitrust to energy litigation, constitutional to tort law, class actions to complex insurance disputes, and intellectual property to executive compensation battles, Manne handles his clients’ thorniest disputes.
Manne’s broad client list ranges from industry titans like Walmart, Chevron, JB Hunt, and Vitol to small businesses, individuals, and pro bono clients. As a true trial specialist, Manne often is hired to come into a case when trial is imminent. He was named Attorney of the Year in Texas in 2017 and has been named Lawyer of the Year in Houston in 6 of the past 10 years for either antitrust litigation or “bet-the-company” litigation.
Manne repeatedly has been honored for his tireless and high-impact pro bono cases. In 2021, Manne received the ABA Litigation Section’s John Minor Wisdom Award for Public Service and Professionalism, given annually to a lawyer who makes “outstanding contributions to the quality of justice in their community, ensuring that the legal system is open and available to all.” Later in 2021, the full ABA—the country’s largest organization of lawyers—gave Manne its Pro Bono Publico Award, which recognizes lawyers who demonstrate an “outstanding commitment to volunteer legal services for the poor and disadvantaged.” Manne is the only person ever to receive both awards in the same year.
