Nick Menillo is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Group and Co-Head of the Firm’s Insurance Coverage Group. His practice focuses on advising clients on complex insurance matters—particularly specialty lines—and he regularly represents companies in high-stakes litigation, investigations, and crisis scenarios.
In addition to his insurance work, Mr. Menillo maintains an active commercial litigation practice that spans securities, antitrust, intellectual property, contract and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Menillo has advised on some of the most prominent insurance-related matters in recent years, including representing the cryptocurrency exchange FTX Trading and financial institution SVB Financial Group on all insurance aspects of their respective Chapter 11 proceedings. He has also counseled clients in multiple SPAC-related litigations, including Lordstown, Hyzon Motors, and Latch Inc.; and advised blue-chip companies such as Boeing, AT&T, Wells Fargo, and Ericsson in connection with insurance coverage strategies for litigation and regulatory matters.
Mr. Menillo was recognized as a Law360 Rising Star for Insurance and was named to Benchmark Litigation’s “40 & Under List” in 2023 and 2024. He is a member of the editorial advisory board for Law360’s Insurance Authority: Specialty Lines.
He previously served as a law clerk to Judge Nelson S. Román of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
