Biography
Paul Vanderslice is a partner in WilmerHale's Litigation Department, where he focuses on high-stakes antitrust and complex civil litigation. He represents clients across a range of industries, including technology, financial services, telecommunications and higher education, combining deep substantive knowledge with a solutions-focused approach to their most challenging disputes.
Paul has prevailed for clients at every phase of litigation in federal and state courts, including on temporary restraining orders, dispositive motions, at trial and on appeal. His victories frequently involve cutting-edge technologies and novel legal theories. He has defeated certification of what would have been the largest antitrust class ever certified in the United States, helped defend a major merger against an antitrust challenge brought by a coalition of state attorneys general, and prevailed in a fraud and trade secret misappropriation jury trial. He regularly represents clients against claims brought by private plaintiffs and putative classes under Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act, as well as in consumer protection matters and actions involving state-level enforcers.
Paul began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Priscilla Richman of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. While in law school, he interned for the Honorable Richard J. Leon of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
He earned his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, and holds a B.S. in Economics and European History from Duke University.
