Biography

Robin Junger, a Harvard Law School graduate, is a nationally recognized expert in environmental and Indigenous law. He advises clients across the energy, mining, forestry, and oil and gas sectors, as well as First Nations, developers and governments.

Known for his practical, consensus‑building approach, Robin helps companies, Indigenous groups and governments develop innovative agreements, joint ventures and equity partnerships. He also has a strong record of holding governments and regulators accountable, including through litigation.

With more than 25 years of experience, Robin has also served in senior government roles, including Deputy Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, head of the Environmental Assessment Office, Chair of the Oil and Gas Commission, and Chief Provincial Treaty Negotiator. His work spans the full range of environmental and Indigenous law, including permitting, compliance, contaminated sites, land and resource tenures, and a variety of Indigenous agreements and related business structures.
