Rohit Kumar is an experienced litigator whose practice covers a wide range of complex commercial and regulatory litigation, including shareholder, partnership, contract, and real property disputes, specialized securities litigation, regulatory investigations and enforcement litigation, professional liability, and disciplinary proceedings.
Rohit routinely appears before all levels of court in Ontario, arbitral panels, and adminis-trative tribunals. He has prosecuted and defended professionals before multiple discipli-nary tribunals. Rohit has defended directors, officers, and companies against allegations of breach of duty and fraud.
Rohit also has experience with regulatory policy development and implementation in the financial services sector. He has an in-depth understanding of how to identify and manage compliance risks and respond to potential breaches.
Rohit joined Miller Thomson from the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada (now the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization) where he served in multiple roles in the Enforcement Department and General Counsel’s Office.
