Biography

Roxana (Roxy) Guidero is a Partner at Wilkinson Stekloff.  She has represented corporate clients and individuals in an array of industries and specialties, including entertainment & media, sports, antitrust & competition, product liability, and white-collar crime. With a breadth of experience across the spectrum of litigation, Roxy has helped her clients navigate some of their most challenging and complex legal issues in courts from coast to coast.

Roxy is currently representing Visa against the DOJ’s sprawling lawsuit alleging anticompetitive practices in the debit card industry. She is also trial counsel to Meta in matters arising from litigation surrounding the company’s social media platforms.

Most recently, Roxy served as trial counsel to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, successfully defending its $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks against a DOJ challenge, and to SAP in high-stakes antitrust and trade secrets litigation which resolved favorably shortly before trial. She was also a key member of the trial team that secured a post-trial victory for the NFL in class action litigation surrounding its “Sunday Ticket” subscription service.

These achievements have earned Roxy national recognition, appearing on Benchmark Litigation’s 40 & Under list. She was also named as a Top 10 finalist for Young Lawyer of the Year in Litigation by The American Lawyer, and is included among Lawdragon’s 500 X – The Next Generation.

Committed to equal justice and legal access for all, Roxy maintains an active pro bono practice. She has partnered with the Los Angeles Center for Law & Justice (LACLJ) to represent domestic violence survivors; the Animal Legal Defense Fund to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system; and the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence on gun safety research and advocacy. Roxy received LACLJ’s Pro Bono Partner of the Year award, following her work as lead trial counsel for a domestic violence survivor. She also served as a pro bono prosecutor with the Redondo Beach City Attorney’s Office, successfully trying multiple jury trials.

Roxy is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law, teaching courses on Contracts and Antitrust.

Prior to re-joining the firm, Roxy practiced law at O’Melveny & Myers LLP.  She was also a judicial clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Roxy’s other notable representations include:

  • Represented pop-music star Kesha against defamation and breach of contract claims in New York state court.
  • Represented one of the largest multinational insurers and managed the trial team in a copyright-infringement jury trial in the District of Minnesota, including successfully defending against a $21 billion disgorgement claim.
  • Member of the trial team for the lead defendant, a former pharmaceutical executive, in a nationally reported RICO prosecution involving an opioid pain medicine. After a four-month jury trial, Roxy was part of a small post-trial briefing team that persuaded the trial court to throw out the lead charges in the case and to reject over $300 million in financial penalties sought by the government.
