Saul Perloff is an accomplished first-chair trial lawyer and serves as A&O Shearman’s Life Sciences Sector Lead.
For more than 30 years, Saul has represented domestic and international clients in advertising and unfair competition litigation under the Lanham Act and state laws, as well as in a wide range of complex commercial and intellectual property disputes. He is known for providing practical, business-focused advice and for effectively communicating complex litigation issues to both legal and business stakeholders.
As lead trial counsel, Saul has successfully prosecuted and defended matters involving false advertising, unfair competition, trademark and trade dress infringement, patent infringement, antitrust claims, TCPA disputes and Qui Tam actions in courts throughout the United States. He also represents clients in government investigations, arbitrations and National Advertising Division (NAD) proceedings.
Before entering private practice, Saul served as a JAG officer and member of the Chief Counsel’s Honor Program in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1992 to 1995.
