Scottie Lee

Scottie Lee focuses her practice on complex litigation, antitrust, and appeals. She has represented clients in high-stakes disputes in a variety of industries. Scottie’s experience includes representing and advising clients on matters involving class actions, complex business and contract disputes, and trade secret disputes. She has represented clients in claims involving unfair and deceptive business practices, and is an editor of What’s Fair?, a blog on the law of unfair trade practices.

Scottie is active in the legal community, both locally and nationally. She serves on the leadership of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section and is on the editorial board for the ABA’s Antitrust Law Journal. Scottie is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Appellate Rules Committee, where she is an editor of the committee’s Guide to Appealability of Interlocutory Orders.

Before joining Ellis & Winters, Scottie served as a law clerk to Chief Judge James L. Gale on the North Carolina Business Court.

During law school, Scottie was an intern for Justice Paul M. Newby at the North Carolina Supreme Court, Judge Richard A. Elmore at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, Judge James L. Gale at the North Carolina Business Court, the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office, and the general counsel’s office for the Speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives. She served as the editor-in-chief of the Campbell Law Review.
