Steven P. Winter is a partner in the Litigation Department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. His practice focuses on representing directors and corporations in derivative and class action lawsuits, litigation involving mergers and acquisitions, and complex commercial disputes.
Mr. Winter received a B.A. summa cum laude with distinction from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 and a J.D. from Yale Law School in 2008, where he was a senior editor of the Yale Law Journal. Following law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Pierre N. Leval of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and to the Honorable Kimba M. Wood of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Winter is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Federal Bar Council.
