Andrew Clubok is the Global Chair of Latham’s Securities Litigation & Professional Liability Practice. Based in both the firm’s Washington, D.C. and New York offices, he is one of the country’s leading lawyers for complex, bet-the-company securities and other complex litigation matters and is a go-to trial lawyer for some of the world’s most notable brands.


In his 30 years of practice, Mr. Clubok has obtained complete defense verdicts and/ or dismissals of dozens of securities class actions, shareholder derivative lawsuits and arbitrations, including those involving IPO-related alleged misconduct, mortgage-backed securities, short-swing profits, naked short selling, and federal pre-emption. He has also won several “Plaintiffs’ side” cases, including obtaining a $1 billion judgment for a global financial institution against a hedge fund.


Mr. Clubok’s recent representations include winning dismissals of one of the largest securities class actions ever filed, as well as dismissals in actions involving insider trading and claims of false and misleading statements regarding a company’s financial health, future growth, and operating conditions. He also recently won a dismissal that is now essentially the blueprint for all high-demand-due-to-pandemic securities matters and represents clients in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space in multiple securities litigation lawsuits in state and federal court.


Mr. Clubok also regularly counsels clients on a wide range of matters, including Sarbanes- Oxley, antitrust, TCPA, FDCPA, federal election law, and regulatory compliance.

He was named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in 2023, Litigation Star in 2023, as well as a National Practice Area Star and Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation. The American Lawyer frequently recognizes him as a Litigator of the Week for his repeated successes representing clients in their most high-profile, high stakes matters.


Prior to joining Latham in 2017, Mr. Clubok was the chair of Kirkland & Ellis’ Securities Litigation practice group.


Mr. Clubok served as a law clerk for Judge Frank J. Battisti of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He is a current Trustee and former Board Member for the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, and he recently led a team to victory after a five week trial in a precedent-setting Voting Rights Act case.
