Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck has enhanced its labor and employment team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with the addition of a new partner.
Maritza Gomez joins the firm from Kelley Kronenberg and focuses on labor and employment matters. Her hire comes at the same time as the addition of Perry Sofferman in the corporate team.
Gomez acts on labor and employment matters including discrimination and harassment, non-compete agreements, employment contract disputes, retaliation claims, disciplinary actions, wage and hour violations and class actions, whistleblower claims and matters dealing with the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Labor Standards Act.
She also provides employment related training and has prepared, negotiated, and interpreted policies, including drafting of employment handbooks in both English and Spanish.
