About the Awards

The Benchmark Litigation Awards celebrates the legal industry’s leading dispute resolution practices, with a special focus on significant achievements in litigation and complex casework. Each year, we honour the cases, litigators, and firms that push boundaries and set new standards in legal practice.

Our awards recognise those reshaping jurisprudence, from leading practitioners to rising stars under 40, and champion exceptional advocacy that enhances the broader legal and social landscape. We hold ceremonies in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and China.

The Benchmark Litigation Awards is underpinned by a rigorous four-to-six-month research process that includes in-depth analysis of written firm questionnaires, examination of recent casework, and focused, extensive interviews with litigators and their clients.

Our team evaluates each entry based on case complexity, significance, and peer review, ensuring that only the most groundbreaking achievements and leading practitioners are recognised. We exclude consideration of case financial volume or general media coverage. The internal judging process is independent and led by Benchmark Litigation's dedicated research teams.
