Hausfeld has built a national US practice across Washington, DC, New York, Philadelphia, Massachusetts and California, with particular depth in antitrust, environmental litigation, human rights and data privacy. Its lawyers pursue complex claims through certification, dispositive motions, trial and appeal.

In antitrust, New York-based Scott Martin and Washington, DC-based Sathya Gosselin served as co-lead counsel in In re: National Football League Sunday Ticket Antitrust Litigation, which produced a $4.7 billion jury verdict before trebling and is now on appeal. California-based Christopher Lebsock and Michael Lehmann also played prominent roles in the litigation.

Philadelphia-based Katie Beran and Massachusetts-based James Gotz lead Suffolk County Water Authority v. The Dow Chemical Company, a water-contamination action involving estimated damages of more than $900 million. The team defeated most summary-judgment and expert challenges, preserving the authority’s central claims for trial. Martin and New York-based Renner Walker provide additional support.

Washington, DC-based James Pizzirusso served as co-lead counsel in the MGM Resorts data-breach litigation, securing a $45 million settlement for more than 10 million affected individuals, together with commitments to strengthen data-security practices. New York-based Ashley Crooks contributes further privacy experience through her work on healthcare and consumer-data matters.

Hausfeld’s human-rights practice is represented by Kashef v. BNP Paribas. Washington, DC-based chair emeritus Michael Hausfeld leads the certified class action alongside DC-based Mary Sameera Van Houten Harper and Amanda Lee-Dasgupta, as well as Gotz. Following a five-week bellwether trial, a jury awarded three Sudanese plaintiffs $20.75 million; the wider class claims remain pending.
