This is a typical dispute over the quality of goods in a sales contract. The case dates to the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, when Europe purchased a large number of masks from China. After receiving the goods, the European company raised objections to the quality of the masks. The case involves legal issues such as the standards for proving quality defects and the validity of the quality objections. The outcome of this case will serve as a significant reference for similar cases. 

In construction and real estate, the firm advised Shanghai Hongyu Investment and Shanghai Lejinghui Pension Service on a house-leasing contract dispute against Shanghai Shouxuan Building Materials; advised Hubei Xiantao Tourism Investment Group and Hubei Xiantao Real Estate on a construction contract dispute against China Electric Power Municipal Construction Group; and advised CIFI Holdings on judicial auction of land use rights. 

Siwei He, as the managing partner of the firm’s Xi’an office represented a Chinese state-owned construction company in a significant construction contract dispute against a Greentown Group subsidiary. Despite the defendant's financial difficulties and commercial risks, the firm secured the preservation of over 100 properties and facilitated a settlement, preventing a substantial loss of state-owned assets. 

Previously, in commercial disputes, the firm advised China Pacific Insurance on insurance contract disputes with a factoring company; and also advised Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China on an enforcement reconsideration against an individual.
