The applicable law of the case is Chinese law, and the language of the arbitration is Chinese. This case is one of the few major international commercial arbitration cases independently handled by Chinese lawyers in my country. The final ruling of the case rejected almost all the arbitration claims of the other party, and won a favorable award for the client.
• Representing a large domestic private enterprise in an arbitration case at the Singapore International Arbitration Center with a well-known Korean company. The case involved a disputed amount of USD 15 million. The applicable law of the case is Singapore law, and the language of the arbitration is English. The case was handled jointly with a Singaporean lawyer as an agent and achieved good results.
• Representing a well-known Malaysian enterprise group in an arbitration case at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center for a major real estate project with a domestic company. The amount involved in the dispute was RMB 900 million. The real estate project involved in the case is a major project in Beijing. The case was handled jointly by a Chinese law firm and a foreign law firm.
• Represented a Hong Kong company in a contract dispute arbitration case with a French cosmetics manufacturer in Hong Kong International Arbitration Center. The amount involved in the dispute was HK$100 million. The case was handled by Han Kun's Beijing office in cooperation with its Hong Kong office.
• Represented a multinational company in a dispute over the control of a joint venture in China. The case lasted as long as 4 years. It is a relatively influential shareholder dispute case of a joint venture company in the industry. It is a typical major, difficult and complicated cross-border commercial dispute case handled by Chinese lawyers and foreign lawyers. The dispute resolution procedures involved in the case include negotiation, CIETAC arbitration, Chinese court litigation, company dissolution, Chinese tax investigation, US 337 investigation, US court litigation, etc.
