Full-service law firm CMS has a growing international arbitration practice in Hong Kong and is active in commercial, construction and post-M&A disputes. In an ongoing commercial and transactions case, the firm is representing the owner of Pacific Bulk Group in a series of shareholder disputes involving Chu Kong and his related parties. These disputes have been the subject of highly contested litigation in Hong Kong for the past four to five years. To date, more than 40 court actions have been initiated between the two parties across various jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, Singapore, the British Virgin Islands, the UK and Panama. The firm is actively involved in this complex and extensive legal battle.
