Dispute resolution

Omnilaw was founded four years ago by Oommen Mathew. The firm focuses on litigation and arbitration. The team handles dispute resolution matters relating to corporate and commercial issues, construction and infrastructure projects, energy and renewables, and public international law. Apart from general commercial and corporate disputes, the firm has branched out into new areas of practice such as financial technology, and it has a stable flow of counsel work. The team is called upon by numerous solicitors and lawyers across various jurisdictions.

Managing director Mathew is the key contact.

The firm continues to represent a capital infrastructure development company in its $145 million arbitration claim against a South Asian state-owned entity in respect of a concession agreement to develop and build an island. This matter involved one of the first concession agreements signed in the Maldives. The abrupt termination has created a major political and economic issue for the government which is still unresolved.
