Veronica S. C. Rossos is a Partner and a member of the Firm’s Labour & Employment group. She represents and advises clients in both labour and employment matters with experience across a broad range of industries including: transportation, retail, mining, food distribution and processing, real estate and property management, information technology, shipping and logistics, and construction and infrastructure.

While Veronica’s practice is focused on labour and employment matters, she has extensive experience in commercial litigation and a particular expertise representing employers in employment adjacent commercial litigation matters; such matters include directors and officers liability, misuse of non-registered intellectual property, and breach of confidence and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

Veronica is called to the BC and Ontario Bars, and she has appeared in superior and appellate level courts, provincial and federal human rights tribunals, and labour relations boards in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

Veronica regularly assists employers with all manner of workplace, employment, human rights, and labour relations issues including:

  • representing clients at trial and arbitration, on applications, and on petitions in courts and tribunals; obtaining and/or resisting applications for injunctive relief;
  • negotiating collective agreements;
  • interpreting and implementing collective agreements, employment contracts, and employment policies;
  • advising on issues of progressive discipline and dismissals in both unionized and non-unionized workplaces;
  • advising clients on issues of the liability of directors and officers and fiduciary duties and obligations;
  • drafting employment and corporate policies;
  • advising clients with employment related matters associated with the sale and orpurchase of business;
  • privacy compliance and obligations associated with third party service providers; and
  • advising on human rights issues.

Veronica has been recognized by industry and her peers for her level of skill and expertise. She regularly speaks at conferences and publishes on employment and labour related topics and is a contributing author to Injunctions in British Columbia Law and Practice.
