Yaxing specializes in contractual and corporate dispute resolution, especially disputes pertaining to investment and financing. He previously worked in a court in Beijing for several years where he accumulated extensive experience from handling numerous cases. With his abundant experience in Chinese judicial practice gained from the bench, he is skilled in analyzing the whole picture of complex cases from an adjudicator’s perspective. In addition, Yaxing has represented many clients in asset preservation, recognition, and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Mainland China with his well-recognized experience and skills.

  • Represented a Southeast Asia listed company’s subsidiary in mainland China to file an arbitration case in HKIAC in connection with a project transfer dispute (the project was worth RMB 2 billion). During the arbitration proceeding, represented the client to apply for asset preservation in front of a Beijing court, which was the first property preservation case accepted in Beijing that was based on Hong Kong arbitration proceeding. Finally, a favourable arbitral award was rendered and then successfully recognized and enforced in mainland China;
  • Represented a well-known group company in mainland China in successfully handling the litigation filed by its partner in connection with dissolution of joint venture established by both parties. The market value of the Joint venture is more than RMB 1.5 billion;
  • Represented a reputable credit rating agency in the first litigation case arising out of misrepresentation in bond issuance in PRC. The case was initiated by more than 500 individual and institutional investors with a total claim of more than RMB 800 million;
  • Represented a USD fund to file arbitration in AAA against the founder of a Cayman company in a typical Red-chip structure that was invested by such fund for the founder’s liabilities of breaching the fiduciary duty. It was an exemplary case of taking action to recover the indirect damages of investors facing the completely collapse of the Red-chip structure due to a series of complicated and elaborative schemes conducted by the founder;
  • Represented a top brand spirit manufacturer in Guizhou handling its disputes with its minority shareholders in a litigation case in connection with share repurchase and distribution of dividends and won a complete victory in the case.
