The practice is led by managing director Baldev Bhinder, supported by director Ramandeep Kaur. The matter engages issues of misdelivery, indemnity claims and insolvency, requiring coordination across several parties including lenders, shipowners and charterers, while navigating parallel liquidation proceedings.  In another mandate, the firm successfully defended an insurer in Singapore proceedings concerning claims under a trade credit insurance policy, where it advanced arguments that the underlying transactions were fictitious, contributing to the development of legal principles relevant to trade finance and insurance disputes.

The team also acts on multi-jurisdictional enforcement matters and fraud-related disputes, including a case involving the coordination of proceedings across several jurisdictions to recover diverted funds and secure freezing measures. These matters often involve overlapping insolvency, restructuring and criminal processes, requiring careful management of competing legal regimes and creditor interests.  In addition, the firm has acted in disputes involving digital assets, advising on the characterisation of transactions and associated regulatory implications in Singapore court proceedings.
